What is a Private Transfer?

With the exception of some select routes all of our transfers are private. With a Private Transfer you have paid to have the sole use of the minibus. You will not have to wait for anyone at the airport and will leave as soon as possible.

Private Transfers are available from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery to Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires, Val Thorens and throughout the 3 Valleys ski area as well as the Paradiski area of Les Arcs and La Plagne.

What is a Shared Transfer?

Shared transfers are shared between different groups or individuals arriving at similar times to you. They are available from Geneva Airport to Courchevel and Meribel.

Our Shared Shuttle services are suited to people travelling alone or in small groups if you want to keep the costs down. In order to make it a cost effective as possible for you we will pick up people arriving at similar times and going to resorts which are close together. This may mean an extended wait at the airport as we will schedule flights to arrive or depart a maximum of 90 minutes apart of each other and may mean your pick up time before departure being earlier than it would on a private transfer in order to accommodate other travellers arrival/departure times and other passengers being picked up on route.

Last Minute Transfers

We offer last minute transfers to fill empty seats. The seats may be offered at a cheaper rate but will coincide with clients who have already booked with us.

There may be a wait and any passengers who have booked before you will get priority for drop off and collection times.

What Airports do you operate from?

3 Valley Vans operates from Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon Saint-Exupéry and Chambery as well as Moutiers Train and Bus Stations.

Where do I go on arrival at the airport?

Your 3 Valley Van driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals area. Your driver will have a 3 Valley Van welcome board with the group leaders name on it.

What happens when we leave the resort?

You will receive and SMS the day before travel to confirm the time of pick up, your driver’s name and contact number. We will schedule your transfer to arrive at the airport a minimum of 2 hours before your flights departure.

We may need to leave earlier than you may expect due to weather and traffic conditions.

How long will my transfer take?

We run transfers from four airports to a number of resorts within the 3 Valleys and it depends on traffic conditions.

Transfers from Chambery will take between 1hr and 1hr 45 mins.

Transfers from Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon will take between 2hrs and 2hrs 45 mins.

Do I enter my departure time or check in time?

On the booking form we need to know your departure time and flight number NOT your check in time. We will ensure you get to the airport with plenty of time to check in.

Can my children travel on my lap?

No, children must travel in a seat with the appropriate size child seat/booster. You will need to pay for your child to travel, no matter how old they are. The child seat or booster is provided free of charge.

What if my flight is late?

We will ensure that no one is left at the airport. We plan for flight delays of up to an hour, however sometimes flights get delayed for longer than this. Your meeting time is 30 mins after your flight arrival time and we schedule a delay of 60 mins from this time. After this time for all private transfers we offer a Flight Delay Guarantee, normally the driver will be able to wait although on occasion we may need to schedule another vehicle for you which may result in a wait at the airport. The waiting time by the driver or the new transfer will not incur any new charges.

If you miss a shared transfer then we will try to put you on a later transfer if there are available seats. If there is no availability then we may need to make an extra trip to collect you and you may incur extra costs. In the unlikely event that you incur extra costs then please check your holiday insurance.

You will be kept informed at all times so please ensure your mobile phone number is provided and it is switched on.

Although we endeavor to try and monitor arriving flight times it is imperative that you contact us as soon as you are aware of any delays.

If you are delayed after arrival due to baggage problems etc then it is your responsibility to contact the office/driver immediately.

I can’t find my resort on the booking system?

We believe that all the main resorts in the 3 Valleys are on the booking system, however, if you cant find the exact name of your destination then contact us and we will give you a price over the phone.

Day excursions, nights out and other routes.

If you want to go to a different resort for the day, have a night out and come home after the last bus or you want to travel to somewhere that we haven’t given a price.

Licensing Information

3 Valley Vans are holders of the Certificate of Professional Competence in International Passenger Transport and we are fully licenced with the Ministère chargé des Transports in France, licence no 2013/82/0000266 to carry passengers.

We are also licenced with the Service du Commerce in the Canton de Genève, Switzerland to carry passengers to and from Geneva.
